cached domain access

Can i get two domain accounts to access each other's resources using cached
credentials while disconnected from the domain? I tried this and was
unsuccessful. I'm wondering if I have to have both accounts log on to both
machines. Or is there a better way?

I would keep using workgroup but logon domain username. this page may help,
