Does anyone else have problems with audio cutting out and picture freezing
when running cable T V signal through Media Center? Any suggestions?

I am interested in seeing this answer... Mostly because I have not bothered
to dabble much in "Media Center Edition" of Windows XP - since my Windows XP
Professional and third party applications have worked great for years - just
seemed like a waste of time to use something built into the OS when surely
(like most other things) those who specialize in the capture of media such
as television signals on a computer would be better at it than those who
make the OS that their application runs on.

I could be wrong - so I await anyone jumping on this thread with great
anticipation as to if this OPs experience is the norm and/or opinions on
what I stated.

How To Ask Questions The Smart Way

Tried that - didn't like the results as much as with WinDVD Recorder 5 for
the recording to MPEG2. I use various applications for commercial cutting
and compression. I'll probably try a different application for each thing
every couple of months - just to be sure my situation/needs haven't changed
(or the applications out there have not.)

http://www.videohelp.com/ is a great resource for all things such as this.
