cable internet connection

I just installed windows 2003 enterprise evaluation
version. Installed and configured active directory, dns,
dhcp. I have xp pro on another pc. With win 2003 on one
pc and xp pro on another I am trying to self teach/learn.
After setting up the domain I can not get to the Internet
with my cable modem on the win 2003 system. The way I have
something setup is not allowing me to get to Internet. Can
anyone suggest anything?

This link should help. Read the part about using root hints, deleing the " ." root
