I have connected my analog camcorder to my PC via my PV-BT878P+ capture card i connected the cam via the S-VHS cable I got perfect picture but no sound ( i also get no sound when captured via pixel view play tv.I read through the posts and noticed that someone else had had audio problems and you said to use the 3 cables coloured red, yellow and white. With my camcorder I only got an AV out cable which has 1 yellow and 1white cable attached to the end of it that goes into the back of a TV or video recorder. Ive connected these 2 connectors to my pc and am still getting no sound. Can i by a new cable that will fit my camcorder and have 3 coloured cables as youv'e described to go into the back of my pc? please help I'm a total beginner

You need to take the white cable, buy a convertor from rca to mini jack and
then connect this to the line in or microphone socket on your sound card and
then make sure that this connection is live.
As it only supplies one connection it probably records in mono, red/white
for stereo sound, yellow for video.

THANKS :o) i got the connector today and it worked fine via my microphone socket (only cost me £1.98) and to think that someone in a well known computer shop (pc world) tried to con me into spending around £50 on a USB video bus thingy :os so thanks again now just got to sort out my editing technique lol
