I had noticed that after i boot up my pc and before the login creen appear
there's a message appeared with an blue and white background stating :
InitializeCommand

It lasted for only a few seconds, although my system and all my programs are
running fine i would to know what the error message stands for as to make
sure it isn't something malicious.

Please locate the Error Report in Event Viewer and post a copy.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Control Panel,
Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer.

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from
Event Viewer.

That screen that with the error message that i have described happened when
i plug in external HDD and removing it using the safely remove hardware and
then rebooting the pc.

What is the external disk make and model?

Are the Event ID: 51 one off errors or do they recur at regular
intervals?

Research suggests that was certain drives disabling sleep mode with Free
Agent tools can resolve the problem?

Where have you located pagefiles on your system?

The external HDD make is Seagate and model are FreeAgent Desktop, regarding the event 51, i had checked the event log and it only begin to appear on 12 may 2008 tiil today.

Try this. The second workaround needs the Free Agent to be connected to
a Windows machine. In the Seagate FreeAgent Tools application utility,
users should select Utilities, then set the Adjust Drive Sleep Interval
option to Never. Another click on the Apply button will solve the issue
permanently.

I had tried the utility and set the timer but it failed to rectify the weird
message appearing on boot screen.

By the way, The screen background are similar to those windows xp checkdisk
with the:

InitializeCommand

c000003a

message.

When you reboot keep tapping the F8 key and select Enable Boot logging

A description of the Safe Mode Boot options in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315222/en-us

Then look in the Ntbtlog.txt file for the error and copy the section in
a further post.

Something is trying to start but cannot find a path to complete the
task. That is what I think the c000003a means. The question is what is
trying to start?

After you see this error is the the Free Agent Disk available. Are there
any visible signs there that there is a problem? What is reported in
Disk managent regard the status of the Free Agent Drive? Start, Control
Panel, Administrative Tools, Computer Management, Disk Management.

It might also be useful to look in Device Manager to see if there are
any problems indicated for the removable drive. Start, Control Panel,
System, Hardware, Device Manger. Right click on the Device and select
Properties. If there is an Error Code please advise what it is.

For this particular part, "Did not load driver \??\C:\Program
Files\WIZET\MapleStory\npkcrypt.sys" I have uninstalled the game but i
doesn't know why it's trying to load it.

The FreeAgent continued to work fine except on some occasion when trying to
remove it via safely remove hardware option that pop out a message stating
"The generic drive can't be stop" or something similar and i i had to end
process explorer.exe to remove it or by rebooting my PC.

Disk Management reported that Free Agent are healthy and Device manager does
not show out any error message.

Interesting. Need to think through some of the entries. In the meantime
use Autoruns to find and disable the Start Up item
C:\Program Files\WIZET\MapleStory\npkcrypt.sys

A safer way than msconfig to disable / remove unwanted start up items is
to use Autoruns.
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/ProcessesAndThreads/Autoruns.mspx

With Autoruns you can uncheck an item, which disables it from starting,
or you can can right click an item and then delete it. If you uncheck
you can recheck to re-enable the item. It is a much safer approach than
editing the Registry. Another useful feature of the programme is that
you can right click an item and select Search Online to get information
about the item selected.

Hi there,
this is caused by the realtek azalia audio event monitor
it monitors and logs system events associated with various audio
services, disable it at startup or just delete file Alcmtr.exe, see ya

Hello iananthony1701,

I didn't have realtek azalia audio as my sound card are integrated which is
AC97 Vinly.

You can probably safely Remove these entries but I would normally advise
Disable and observe for a day or so before removing
