Hello,
Not a technical person here at all, so sorry in advance.
I am running windows 200 p
started it moments ago and it loads halfway then gives me
message indicating

(inaccessable_boot_device
Check for viruses
remove any newly installed HD or HD controllers
Check that your HD is properly configured
Refer to getting started in your manual)

Is there a way I can get to a c prompt to run a check on
the HD
I do not have a copy of the original CD....was from a job
2 years ago.
Any ideas, and thanks in advance

Hi, Kevin.

Stop 0x7B, Inaccessible_Boot_Device, usually shows up during installation of
Win2K, not after it has been installed and running for a while. It also can
show up after installation of a new boot device, such as a new hard drive.
In either case, the device drivers for the hard drive/controller are not on
the Win2K CD-ROM and must be added from a floppy diskette during
installation of Win2K.

If that is not the problem in your case, then see this page from the online
version of the WinXP Resource Kit (which should apply to Win2K, as well):
Stop 0x0000007B or INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE
