you need to go to your motherboard site and get the drivers there.
If that doesn't float your boat buy a sound card.

Didn't your motherboard come with a CD? If so, use it to install the
drivers for your sound. If not, go to the motherboard's web site and get
them there.

there are sometimes two ways to install drivers
one is to insert the motherboard disk and look for an installation of audio
drivers
the other is to put the disk in and close the install screen. Then go to
device manager
and open the audio device. It may say unknown device click on that and do
upgrade drivers. Then you must search your cdrom that came with the board
for the proper audio drivers. If the drivers are not on the disk then go to
website and download them. Unzip them to a folder and do the update drivers
from there or they may
have a setup program.

I have the same prob after I reinstalled xp. My drivers are there but some
are not enabled. I can not enable them or update them. I have tried
(without Luck) to uninstall and reinstall them. No matter what I have tried
I can not get any sound from my computer.
