Hi Darla,
George is da man. Do whatever he says. And please read my extra plea.
Usually I print the removal instructions and go by what they say, because all
virii have their own quirks, from having to uninstall you AVP to having to go into
Safe Mode to maybe even using a command prompt. But the best advise you can use is
to be sure and get a good AVP and a good firewall (hardware or software). The
virus, worms, trojans, java virus, IRC attacks, IM attacks, ICQ attacks, and the
list doesn't stop there programmers are continuously getting worse (better for
them) and more complex. Best not open any attachments ever unless you know the
person and know they are sending it (not a virus on their computer). If you're not
sure about a good friends, pop them an email and ask them, if they sent it. You
can now get infections without opening anything, through HTML (webpages), and even
images can carry infections.
I hope you heed this, and one site you can go to get some protection is
www.spychecker.com .
They have AVG antivirus (free), Zone Alarm firewall(free), Ad-aware(free, SpyBot
S&D(free), and many other utilities you can take full advantage of. There are some
great programs on the site for shareware also. Well worth their money.
good luck,
don

states i have 26 "noncleanable" infected files, 22 of which are in the c/documents
ans settings files, and 4 are in c;//winnt/sytem32 files. I am hoping for some
