c :drive full

my c drive went from 70% space yesterday to 5% free space
today(i checked yesterday the amount of free space).I have
defragmented and cleaned the hard drive to no avail, this
happened after i had a problem with a anyi virus program
(norman)and after phoning them managed to uninstall it.
Any ideas as to what the problem is and how to fix it?

I have this happen fairly often as my virus program creates huge temporary
files. Do a search for files or folders, check the size, button, fill in
100000, and find out if you have some huge files somewhere.
 
Probably system restore. I'll bet you have a small HD.
The only way to get the space back is to get rid of the
restore point. Also, I'm going to guess you meant Norton
Anti-virus. Look for any remaining files and folders from
symantec and remove them.

definetly sounds like a virus, just dont recall which one.
After i got this pc a few yrs ago i had a virus attack and
what this particular one does is this
It takes and creates invisble copies of every file in the
particular folder it happened to "live in".
I can't tell youwhere yours might be but if you enable a
view all hidden files on your c:> you might be able to
locate it.
Wouldn't hurt to run that virus program
