If there is another account on this machine which you are able to access,
here is a workaround. Log on using this account. Click the start orb and type
'user accounts' in the search box and press enter. This will open the 'User
Accounts' control panel. Select the option 'Manage another account'. After
providing administrative credentials, you will be taken to a screen entitled
'Choose the account you would like to change'. Simply select the account in
question. In the screen that opens, select 'Remove the password'. After
reading the warning, click 'Remove Password' to finally delete it. Finally,
close all open dialogue boxes. You should now be able to log on with this
account. Note that if you do not have the administrative password, you will
need your system administrator to carry out the instructions in this post.
