We use group policy on our win2k domain to set all pc's proxy settings, but
this is causing an issue as some of our users do not have the rights to get
out on the net (Controlled through ISA2k server) and they still need to use
the IE browser to get on an internal web based application.

Please can anybody offer any ideas on bypassing GP for IE LAN Settings for
certain users or computers?

Thanks in advance

Since you organized your non-allowed-surfer-users in a group/groups for
ISA Server, you could just go to the group policy that is responsible
for the proxy settings and alter the security settings to "deny": "apply
group policy" for that/these group(s).

cheers,
