Hi all,

have a question on a upgrade I just did from XP home to
XP Pro on a HP ZE4610us laptop. I seem to have a problem
with booting up, I cannot get the machine to boot, if I
do a "bootlog txt" the system will hang at this
file "ATISGKAF.sys", I have tried to boot with VGA mode
enabled but no go, so does anyone have any suggestions on
how to disable the boot drivers for the ati video card on
this laptop so i can try to get into the Os to try to
upgrade the drivers in general?

HP say's this machine is not compatable with XP but it
comes with XP so I don't think that's the problem here.

thx.

LOL. So why do they put the designed for Microsoft Windows XP sticker
on there? I have the exact model and had no problems putting XP
professional on it. However I did a complete format/re-install and
only installed what I wanted. If your trying to do an upgrade its
likely to keep most of the crap they put on there. Its not a good
idea to do an upgrade as PC makers pre-install a bunch of stuff that
tend to slow down the computer and cause strange problems.
