well, I'm NOT actually going to uninstall Steam this time, as this is a small way I've found to tame them a little ... the 'spam' is just OTT when all you want to do is start your game up.

I do see some benefits to steam, but I want them on my terms. :)

I don't know. :o

I'm keeping Steam, it was a lot of bother to set up. I must have done so before on another game, was a pig-in-a-poke trying to get it sorted ... managed to set up a 'new' account. Don't fancy doing that again.

There are also a few nice 'add-ons' for this genera of games from Paradox, from £0.79p. I bought one for 99p, kives me extra armies for free. :)
