Person bought oem pc's with xp home. Program required (ran better) with
windows2000
Formatted and installed windows2000.
Can this person sell their copies of xp home ? The COA's are still glued to
the cases.
Thanks in advance.

OEM versions of Windows XP cannot be transferred or installed
to another computer!

These are OEM disks and they are tied to that hardware. The answer is no.

Sorry, but no. Unlike a retail copy, the license for an OEM copy
ties it permanently to the first computer it's installed on. It
can never be moved, sold, or given away.

By the way, what program is it that runs better on 2000 than on
XP? If that's true, it's a very unusual situation.

It was more of an issue where we were in no position to start testing on a
production computer.
This was some time ago... back when xp first came out and probably even pre
sp1.
A DOS pos program probably had something to do with it. Capeesh?
