Buying Vista Key online

I've recently decided to try Vista, so I installed a friends copy without the
key just to evaluate vista and see if I want to purchase it. I went to
microsoft online and seen that you can download an upgrade and key code, the
problem and question I have is I am out of the U.S. right now and my internet
connection isn't very good and it would take me forever to download Vista,
can I just pay for the download and just use the key code that is given with
it to install the vista disc I am using or is the key code only for the
download version.
 
Yes, you only need the key for the CD version as well. It should work
fine with your key.
