hi im new and also a novice with computors.

is it possible to buy extra disk space

if so what are the average prices

and can you buy them/ it at any old cpu shop

thanks in advance

it should be a simple case of buying another hard drive and plugging it in, i think you can get 120 GB for about £60

I wanted to determine what PC AND MODEL You have so that I would know what size hard drive you have, like me-2000 says a 120 Gig HDD but if you have a 80 Gig you would only need another 80 Gig, and adding another HDD is not straight forward as you are a novice? You would have to copy you OS onto it, and know a little about setting up do you?;)

itsme, it will be far easier just to install a slave drive, also most shop built systems just come with a restore CD so there may be a problem with using that on a larger HD

Exactly that is the point I am trying to make, you said 120 Gig HDD, if he already has an 80 adding another will give 160, it is just a case of finding out what is installed at the moment, then we go from there, remembering he is a novice, so it is one thing at a time.;)
