Hi Stefan.
Just wanted to thank you for writing the article on "Creating Custom
Interactive Buttons in FP2003". Ever since I purchased FP a few months ago,
I wanted to add CIBs, but since there wasn't anything on the menus to do
this, I just figured it couldn't be done.

I read a post several days ago where the user had questions about
Interactive Buttons and somebody responded (maybe it was you) with the link
to your buttons article. I couldn't find the original post again, so have
created a new one.

It took me awhile to figure everything out (it was all new to me) but I
finally got it, added new buttons and have put them on FP web pages (Yea!),
but in the process, I've come up with several questions:

1. After I added the new buttons to a page, out of curiosity, I checked out
"Insert / Link Bars" but didn't see the new buttons. Are link bar buttons
different from Interactive Buttons? Can you add buttons to the link bar
selection?

2. I would have never see your article on buttons if I hadn't run across
the link that was put in the reply to a FP discussion question. Is there an
index of the articles written by the MVPs? If so, where is it? Is there a
DB that can be searched?

3. I filled in the response form at the bottom of the article, but wasn't
able to ask these questions because of the limitation on the text input box.
Do those responses go to you, or do they just fly off into MS never-never
land?

4. Can a person send an email to an MVP who has written an article, from
the article web page. I didn't see any way to do this?

5. And finally, do you know if MS is working on a user interface that will
easily allow "CIBs and Customn Link Bar Buttons" to be added in future
versions of FP? If they aren't working on this, they should be.

Tanks and Tank Full.

1) Interactive buttons have nothing to do w/ link bars
- they use the button images in your themes
(if you have a site hosted under the FP 2002 SE and apply a custom button)
- which you can modify to add your own

2) When you search the KB (advanced search) and select Community Solutions Content, you get KB's created by MVPs (they all use the
keyword: kbpubmvp)

3) They just go to MS - same as all surveys

4) At present no

5) See # 1
