Buttons do not not display

I can't see JPG's or GIFS any more - red x. I have tried
the web site on other computers and everything is ok.
When I open front page and place a hover button and
preveiw it in ie 6.0 all I get is a box with a red x. I
am using ie 6.0 and have downlaoded the most up todate
and nothing has changed.
