Button Functions

I want to create a button in powerpoint. This button will
have control over a rectangle. When the button is clicked
and the rectangle is not there, the rectangle will
appear. If the button is pressed and the rectangle is
there, the rectangle will disappear. Is there code to do
this? Any ideas?

Does yours have to be a code solution? PPT 2002 (aka PPT XP) and 2003
both offer this functionality using animation triggers.
