Okay Kate why didn't you walk Ross through it.
Ross to create a button to open a specific template you need to record a
Macro. I am going to assume you don't know how. Here are the steps. To
record a Macro select the Tools menu | Macro | Record New Macro. In the
Record Macro dialog box name the new macro, must have no spaces and I think
no more than 40 characters (I may be wrong with the last fact). In the Store
macro in make sure the Normal.dot is selected. If you put it in any other
documents the Macro will be available ONLY IN THAT DOCUMENT. Record a
description if you like. Click OK. You will see a new floating toolbar and
your pointer will have a cassette on the bottom. Now very carefully go
through the steps of opening the template with the mouse. When all done
click the Stop Recording button, the left button on the new toolbar. Close
the template you just opened. Return to the Tools menu | Macro | Macros.
Click on the macro you just created and select Run. If that worked we are
ready to create a button, if it didn't work repeat the above steps.
To create a button select Customize off the Tools menu. Click the Commands
tab. In the left window select Macros. In the right window click on your
macro and drag it to a toolbar you normally have displayed. Right click on
the new button. Here you can rename the button and/or Change the Button
Image.
I hope this meets your needs.
