Once installed on a worksheet, how do you tell
a "CommandButton" from the Controls Toolbox from
a "Button" from the forms toolbox?

Right-click it and check the shortcut menu that appears. If the menu has
"Assign macro" on it, then it's from the Forms toolbar.

Phil,

Do you mean how to tell the difference by looking at them? Right-click the
button, and if you see "View Code", it comes from the Controls toolbar.
Otherwise, it comes from the Forms toolbar. Or do you mean programmatically
telling the difference between the two.

Chip, Thanks for the reply. Mine are from the Forms
Toolbar - trying to learn more about how to use them.

Hi John - glad to see you back on the NG. My Buttons are
from the Forms Toobar. I'm trying everything I can to
clear a run-time error and thought maybe the button could
have something to do with it. I posted earlier to this
group, then again on the Charting group. Maybe you could
look at the charting thread and suggest something. By the
way - have ordered your charting book. Looking forward to
better things.
Phil
