Thanks, Jerry! Question: what are the "mail applet" and "profile" you're
talking about? Do you mean within bcm? Because bcm doesn't even work within
Outlook any more...just the annoying popups...all 77 of them.
Actually, something happened the other day. I started Publisher, and the
bcm error box popped up! I said "ok", and then an installer for bcm
appeared. ??? I decided to go with it, and install bcm. Well, it couldn't
find all the files it needed, so I expanded the .exe (that I downloaded from
microsoft site) and pointed the installer to that folder. It found the files
it needed and closed. Now, I still don't have bcm installed in Outlook...but
the popups are GONE!!!
Of course, I'm afraid to "install" it again, for fear of the popups. But
I'd really like to try bcm out (I had only done a small amount of
experimenting, and didn't have any actuall business info, so it's ok that I
lost that).
Any suggestions?

In a way it does. Looks like your database that is attached to your profile
is corupted. If you have a backup of your data, you could go to the mail
applet, and remove bcm from your profile, then re add it with a new database.
Then import your back data. If you just want outlook to run with out bcm,
you can just remove it from your profile with the mail applet like above.
