Question:

I was at a microsoft T2 event, and the gentlemen there
had Outlook 2003 with the Business Contact Manager
working with exchange. When asked how, he indicated
there was a registery change needed to be made to make it
possible. I asked if there was a KB article on it and he
siad yes, so I did not bother to sk about what key to
change. Well, I cannot find any KB on the subject.
Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Matt

There is a patch for SBS which allows it to work with SBS Exchange builds,
that is most likely what he was using. The KBKB is
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=831747. Email him to confirm whether it
was an SBS Exchange server or standalone Exchange server. (The T2 sessions
in my area were promoting SBS.)

The patch sets a registry key that allows it to work with any Exchange
server, but using this without SBS is unsupported by MS.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\smallbusinessserver\clientsetup]
"Version"="5.2"
