Further to this one of my accounts is an exchange account
but not the other. I see that exchange is not supported
but can I get it to operate with the other account

What version of BCM and what version of Outlook?

Sue,

It was Outlook and BCM 2003. I actually removed my
exchange account and started Outlook and BCM operated. I
installed the exchange account again and BCM removed
itself from outlook. Is there a way that I can link BCM
to my no-exchange account and use it within Outlook.
Also is CRM an alternative if I can not make progress on
this. Thank you

But is it the beta or the RTM version? We're still waiting to get our hands on the RTM version of BCM. If you look in Help | About, is BCM among the disable items?

It is RTM loaded from the full Office Professional
Edition 2003- received from Microsoft Launch Presentation
in NZ. If I go into Outlook Help as suggested it is not
listed as disabled though I guess it is. Thanks

Check the value of the LoadBehavior registry entry in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\whatever BCM is. If it's 2, change it to 3 and restart Outlook.
