Business Contact Manager--problems with archiving emails

I allowed Outlook to archive messages, tasks, and calendar.
After that BCM will not start. The error message says that the DataBase is
either stopped or not available. I restored the archived items, but BCM
will still not start.

Grateful for any help.

Check if the SQL server for BCM is running.

Start, Run, Services.msc, OK

Scroll down that list to lines that start with MSSQL. (On BCM 2007 that uses
SQL Server Express, also look at line starting with SQL Server (MSSmlBiz).
Does it say "Started" next to that line? If not, what happens if you attempt
to start the stopped services?

What version of BCM is this? Do you have a good backup of your BCM database?
