My emails are showing up in my BCM "business contact history" box when I go
to a specific contact. I cannot add comments. I have cleared business contact
cache and the problem still occurs. Any solutions? TIA, Keith

BCM sometimes has what's known as a "forms cache" problem. Clearing the
cache usually fixes it. Choose Tools | Options | Other | Advanced Options |
Custom Forms, then click Manage Forms, then Clear Cache. If simply clearing
the cache doesn't fix the issue, try the other steps detailed at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;836558

The bulk of the forms cache issues in Outlook 2003 are fixed in Service Pack
1, so you should also install Office 2003 Service Pack 1 as well as BCM SP1.

Sue,
This does not help. I have all the SP's loaded, have run the Clear Cache,
and have also done a Detect & Repair. I still get my Inbox showing up in
each and every Business Contact History! Help!
Thanks,
Bob

I was also having the problem where the Business Tools menu item was not
displaying, I pulled my PocketPC out of the docking station, restarted
Outlook and wala...the Business Tools now shows up. Plus, the Clear Cache
now seams to have fixed my Inbox Business History problem.
Thanks.

I had a similar issue and Microsoft support was able to correct using the
following steps:
The issue may be related to the following situation.

1. Corrupted Cache file
2. Corrupted Profile
3. Corrupted Business Contact Manager.

I would like you to perform the following steps.

Rename Cache files
===============
If the problem still occurs, it is probable that the Outlook cache files are
corrupted. Let's perform the following steps to see if we can solve the
problem.
Perform a search on your computer to find the following files:
extend.dat
outcmd.dat
frmcache.dat
views.dat
NOTE: Some of them may not exist, but it should not matter. You may also
need to show the extension of the file and enable the "show hidden files"
option in "Folder Options". To do this, please perform the following steps:
a. Start-->Control Panel
b. Click Folder option
c. Click "show hidden files and folders" in the View tab
d. Click "Start", point to "Search"
e. Click "All Files and Folders" and click "More Advanced Options" and make
sure the following options are checked:
--Search System Subfolders
--Search Hidden files and folders
--Search Subfolders
f. In the "All or Part of the File Name" box, type one of the above files'
names and click "Search".
g. Right-click the file and rename the files.
"extend.dat" To "extend.old"
"outcmd.dat" To "outcmd.old"
"frmcache.dat" To "frmcache.old"
"views.dat" To ¡°views.old"

NOTE: If you cannot rename the files, simply back them up to another folder
and then delete them.

I SEE THE INBOX EMAILS IN MY BUSINESS CONTACT HISTORY EVERY TIME MY POCKETPC
IS SYNCED UP! I PULL IT OUT OF THE CRADLE AND EVERYTHING IS FINE. CAN
MICROSOFT PLEASE FIX THIS?!?!?
