I have installed Office 2003 onto a brand new machine running Windows XP and
it is the first application to have been installed. However when I try to
install Business Contact Manager it gets most of the way through before
rolling back and saying the installation was cancelled even though I have
not clicked any buttons. Looking at Event Viewer does not provide any more
clues.

Any ideas?

If you get errors during setup, if BCM does not load even after you edit the
LoadBehavior registry value, or if the database does not load, you should
initiate a support incident with Microsoft at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;en-us;incidentsubmit. You
will need a .Net Passport, but there should be no charge for filing the
request for help if you have a retail copy of Office.
