Hi there,
This problem seems to be very similar to what I had going on with the NEWS
menu option... whereby it would completely dissappear... this happened to a
few people recently... The solution I found was to use a TWEEK program to
reset the default Newsreader settings for OE and Outlook... etc etc but
that's another story.

What this post is about is that fact that the Business Contact Manager menus
simply vanish... it seems to happen quite randomly and I am not sure what
brings them back... but they do randomly come back. When they vanish they
completely vanish... ie. they are not available from the CUSTOMERISE MENU
routine either.

Any idea why this happens or how to stop it?

Running Office 2003 on Win XP Pro with all updates etc.

Regards,

Jonathan

If you don't see the Business Tools menu, BCM probably failed to load when Outlook started. Run Regedit and go to the HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\Microsoft.BusinessSolutions..eCRM.OutlookAddin.Connect.1 key. If the value for LoadBehavior is something other than 3, make a backup of the registry, edit LoadBehavior to set it to 3, then restart Outlook.

If BCM does not load even after you edit the LoadBehavior registry value, you should initiate a support incident with Microsoft at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;en-us;incidentsubmit.You will need a .Net Passport, but there should be no charge for filing the request for help.

BTW, how did you obtain your copy of Office 2003 (just curious): retail, MSDN, OEM, etc.?

Hi Sue,
Thanks for that. I will look into this and see what happens,

In answer to your question...
I am a reseller and got Office 2003 Pro free at a MS talk in New Zealand
where I live.

Jonathan
