Whoa... that place is downright scary! ;D

Based on what I can see, both in the newsgroups and what I see on actual
machines I'm hired to look at, many people are busily downloading
adware/spyware onto their machines. Much of this causes problems. And this
doesn't even count viruses.

Hi Frank -

What you've said is so true. Take Robert Moir -MVP somewhat comical addendum
to his signature for example:
<paste>
"Kazaa - Software update services for your Viruses and Spyware."
</paste> :-D

Whilst maybe being somewhat of an over-exaggeration (actually, maybe not.)
it seems to be true. No one reads the "fine print" in their eagerness for a
really *fun goodie*. Then they dial ...911...HELP! :-)

Then there are a plethora of well known quality anti-spyware, anti-virus,
anti-trojan/malware security utilities out there; the bulk of which are also
free, and most don't bother to seek them out, install, update, or use them.
Then there are the much needed Windows Updates that are neglected, when a
"fix" was released months earlier(sometimes a year earlier) and these too
aren't installed. :-|

Just my 2 ¢ .
