burning

Hi all--
On my computer I right click a file and "send to" the cd
drive. I am at my parents and installed a new internal
cd drive on XP, like my machine...it is reading fine, but
I right click and "send to" and it goes to the cd drive,
but the dialogue screen on the left side of the screen
doesn't appear. I don't know how to actually write the
file! It came with Nero, but I like the MS burning
software.
What am I doing wrong?

One way would be to right-click the CD drive letter. There should be a
"write to CD" choice there.
Also, choose PROPERTIES, then the RECORD tab and be sure that recording is
enabled.
