We had recently changed our CDRW drive letter from D to
Z. After that change Nero did not want to "see" the cd-
rewriter and gave a popup to install nero burnrights. We
don't want to do that. We did find out that all other
letters for the cd-rewriter gave no problem with Nero. If
we changed the drive letter to U or X, we could burn
without installing nero burnrights. What is so special
about Z:?

Does someone had the same problem?

Hi;
Easy answer (or is it "eZ")?
Z= Last Acceptable Letter for Win.
Nero requires next letter if you ever decide to "ImageDrive".
None available.

Not an easy answer possible.
Z: can be used if the user is local admin or domain
admin. Why can a non-administrtor not use Z:?

Thanks,

Steve

Not true. I have my burner on W, (I use Nero all the time), with X, Y, & Z
assigned to other CD-ROM drives. If I were to install Nero's ImageDrive, it
would go to the first available drive, in my case, J.
