Burning Videos

I'm new to Movie maker. I can import my short clips of video from MY VIDEO
folder to MM and burn, but the 5-7 clips only show 2-3 on the disk. these
video clips are about 40 MB total so i don't know why they are not on the
DVD/CD when i play in a DVD player.

Another question.Shouldn't i be able to burn video to a CD and play in a DVD
player?
Thanks

Thanks for reply. the files are compatible. when the burn starts Sonic is
the burner
program that pops up.
I suspect that my 2 DVD players are HIMAT as they won't play the CD's i
tried to burn, however DVD's burn fine and are playable on both machines. I
attribute this to lack of knowledge on my part, but i keep trying.

Sounds like you need to create a VCD
(Video CD) not just a simple Data disk.

i think i am at the point that i feel comfortable with burning videos with MS
programs. I did several video disks this afternoon using DVD discs as the
media
and trying different variations of burning. Thanks for your help.

Just to clarify, since we don't appear
to be communicating.

If you recall...you did mention that your
CDs were not recognized by your DVD
player? I guess you are aware that a VCD
is created on a CD and many stand alone
DVD players will play them.

No it's not a special CD...the special
aspect is that you need software that
is capable of burning a VCD.
