ok, i've read all the posts and checked many soources. it seems wmm is not a
very good program to use since it requires several steps and software
programs to burn a project to dvd.

is there a simple program, similar to wmm, where you can transfer your
mini-dv video tape to your pc, edit it and burn to dvd without all the extra
steps and software? if there isn't i need to develop one and get mega rich.

thanks, kris p

From what I've seen, MM2 in tandem with Sonic's MyDVD is about as easy a 2
step process as it gets.... even Apples iTunes which some say is easier
works as 2 steps, first saving in iMovie and then making the DVD in iDVD.

Go to it!!!!

thanks pj! i'll try it.

what do you know about windows xp media center 2005? from what i read, it
sounds like you can burn wmm files directly to dvd. i saw it on ebay for
$125.

It'll be like Photo Story burning VCDs.... one story per disc.... one Movie
Maker movie per disc. It'll fall short of the kind of menu structure with a
number of videos on it that you might prefer.

So I expect people to continue using their favorite DVD authoring and
burning software.
