I just started using Movie Maker and I can't figure out
how to burn directly to a DVD once I have edited my
video. Is it possible to do with this program? Or do I
have to export my saved file to a DVD writing software
such as click to DVD? I have a Sony Vaio and it seem
like they force you to use about 3 of there programs
before you can actually finish one DVD project.

Hi there,

To create a DVD video disk you need DVD software. You can save the WMV or
AVI file to a DVD disk from within XP, but it will simply be a data file
that is a video, if you see what I mean.

I can't help/comment on Sony software. I have two programs for the whole
process...Microsoft Movie Maker 2 which gives me the ability to capture and
then edit my video, and then I use Dazzle DVD Complete which does just
about everything you would ever need for DVD Disc creation.

As Dan said, no it's not possible to burn a DVD directly from Movie Maker.
See the DVD Software section of my website to see what others are using.
