When I try to save my movies to a CD_R Movie maker does not recognize my
CDRW/DVD drive. Yet I can use that drive to burn CD's /Dvd from other
software. The drive is recongized in windows.Any ideas would be helpful.

This maybe a firmware issue, (or any number of issues?)
The fact that other software will recognise the drive lays
the blame at the drive, not XP nor MM. (....I suspect)
Firmware is a hardware update, from the manufacturer.
As an example, this allows the drive to recognise all the
various blank media - from Obscure Oriental to mainstream
Mainstream jap brands etc. OEM's goto a lot of effort to keep
their product uptodate etc, so a firmware update is where you
both should start.
First identify your drives Brand and model number,
Visit the site for that specific Brand, and rummage for
specific FIRMWARE updates for that model.
If you have problems, post back to this thread with
Brand and model name of your drive.

I tried looking for my FIREWARE but it can be found I did a TSST WIN INQUIRY
and it says Model Name: TSST corpCD/DVDW TS-L532R
the Version: HA04
on the OEM Code: 02/
I don't know what I can do I really need to get the movie on CD or DVD can
you please help me....

Firmware not Fireware.
You need to go to the manufacturers website to download the latest firmware
upgrade.
Once downloaded you simply run the program and it will update your firmware
for you.
IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE THE DISK DRIVE IS EMPTY!!!!!
Before doing this though let me ask you a question.
Are you clicking "Save to CD" when you actually have a DVD in the drive?
If you are this will NOT work and is likely why you are having the problem.

Apoligies for taking so long, but i was hoping to provide a link
direct to the firmware download.....................
Alas, you will need to go through a prolonged registration process -
it's not complicated, but it's best you do it yourself for future updates
and support: - the site is excellent and easily navigated.
"TSST corp" transpires to Be Samsung!

Click above link, register etc
Rummage for your specific DVD writer and follow instructions.
It really is very straighforward, BUT...........
Important note:
ONLY download and install firmware update for your specific drive.
