i really need some help fast. i am trying to put together a dvd for my son's
baseball team. i have never done anything like this before and i am stuck
now...and the party is tomorrow...so i have tonight to figure it out. i used
windows movie maker and imported all the pictures i wanted to use...got the
music in there...everything is good. i have it saved in my videos and i can
watch it on the computer...but i cant burn it to a dvd. i keep getting an
error that says something about cannot locate source files. i found in the
help menu where it says that the files must have been moved from their
original location and i need to put them back where they came from.
well...number 1 i dont even know which pictures are the problem...and #2 i
have no idea where i orginally had them saved. can anyone help??? is there
any other way to go about burning this to a dvd???

thanks

First, you need to save the project as a movie...
go to...File / Save Movie File. This will create
a .wmv file or you can use the instructions in
the following article to create an .avi file.

How do I save my movie as a
DV-AVI file in Movie Maker?

If you open the .mswmm project file in Movie
Maker and see Red Xs in place of the source
files you can right click the Xs and browse to
the source files.

Here's some info on burning the DVD:

i am having such a hard time and i must get this finished in the next couple
of hours. i had to completely redo my slideshow. i got that done and i got
the file saved. then when i go to play it back one frame is completely
black...then another couple of frames play and then thats it. the audio
continues but the pictures stop. i tried to re-save the file and it only got
to 19% completely and wont go any farther. is there any phone number i can
call to get live help with this. i really have to get this finished.

thank you!

It might be too late for you now, but if you're using pictures only, use
Photostory 3 - a free program from microsoft. To burn it to a DVD, you
need DVD authoring software such as Roxio, Ulead, and Nero. You can a free
30 day trial for Nero from www.nero.com .
