burning photos loses properties data

When I burn my digital photos to a CD-RW, I lose the
photos properties (i.e. Date Taken, Type of Camera) The
only information is the TYPE and SIZE.
Anybody???

When saving, editing, copying images...the
exif metadata can be lost. The free program
at the following link can be used to copy and
restore the info.
