Does anyone know how could I burn a movie created with
Movie Maker 2 onto a video CD so that I could watch it on
a DVD player (in addition to watching it in the computer).

Thanks

Hi there,

At this time Movie Maker 2 does not have that ability. It can make a high
mat cd which you can play on your computer. There are no standard DVD
players at this time that can play a High Mat movie (but there are some
that can play High Mat stills and audio)

You will need to get appropriate software to create a true DVD out of your
movie

It isn't necessary to burn a "true DVD". Nero (as well as Roxio, Sonic MyDVD, and others, I suspect) will happily take a DV-AVI file and burn a (S)VCD. I don't have a DVD burner, yet, but I've found that making SVCDs with Nero is a workable alternative. You can try Nero for free for thirty days, and (unlike some of its competitors) the (S)VCD writing capability is included in the free demo.

Hi Bud,

If the enquirer had asked about other packages, I would have advised where
to find a solution. Within the frame work of the question asked almost all
of your answer is superfluous. But thank you for your input anyway.
