burning music cd s with windows9 on windowsxp

I had my computer built in july of 03 with windows xp
home edition. i had my burner transfered over to the new
computer. the burner is a "verbatim 52x" it worked at
first but as i added all the updates it started
malfunctioning. what is going on?

You need to supply more details such as describing any error messages.

Dump WMP and invest in Nero, its by far superior.
