burning DVD's

I installed a third party software "AVS Media" to convert MPEG4 files to DivX
and burn to DVD's, but I get an error that says there is no DVD in slot. What
am I doing wrong? Could it have anything to do with the fact that I already
have MyDVD on my computer?

Yes, it has worked 3 times out of 50 times. This seems to be an intermittent
problem.

Which DVD burning software are you using? Three times out of fifty isn't
really very good..... what brand of DVD media are you using?
