files , pictures to a cd.

Please anybody help.

1. Open XP's "Help and Support Center".
2. In the Search box type: CD RECORDING , and hit enter.
3. Click on the topic: "Copy files and folders to a CD".

Alberto,
Normally you can go to the File you want to burn/ right click it/ on the
dropdown or pop-up Menu, left click "Send to"/ on the subsequent Menu, left
click your CD-RW Drive. In your bottom Tray, you will then see a Balloon
stating "You have Files waiting to be written to a CD, etc,". Left click the
balloon and you will be taken to a page showing the File(s) with an entry on
the top left which you left click to initiate the burn. Try this and let us
know what happens.

If you are trying to save or drag and drop directly to CD, this is known as
packet writing and XP does not support that function natively. This
requires third party software such as the Direct CD component of Easy CD
Creator, www.roxio.com or the InCD component of Nero, www.nero.com.

Check the web sites for version compatibility with XP as well as compatible
CD-Writers.

And by the way, Windows ME required third party software for all burning
functions, not just packet writing as described above.
