iTunes (free software from Apple designed to work with iPod) will
burn music files to CDs. AFAIK that includes audiobooks. However,
if your audiobooks are downloaded, it may or may not be legal to burn
them to CD.

iTunes will definitely transfer audiobooks to iPod.

If you already have audiobooks on CD, iTunes doesn't make it obvious
how to import them to iTunes. I have a page at
<http://oakroadsystems.com/genl/itunsabk.htm> that lists the steps to
do this, but it's just a set of section headings right now. I intend
to flesh it out with explanations and illustrations later this month.

Before I bought my iPod, I hung out at <http://www.ilounge.com> to
learn about it. I recommend that for you too -- there are several
FAQs that will quickly answer all your questions.
