burning CD-R's

So, I am unsure if my computer can actually burn CD-R's is there any way that
I can find out? What do I need for it to work? I would greatly appreciate
help on this topic, thank-you for your assistance.

For starters, does your computer have a CD/DVD drive that can burn CDs?
NB it may be one that can burn CDs but only read DVDs.
