In MyDVD Express, which is part of Roxio, I can burn AVI files to DVD, but
Roxio makes the AVI files larger when adding them to the project. As a
result, I can burn only a few AVI files to a DVD.

So I am now using DVD Flick, which is permitting me to burn more AVI files
to DVD.

Why am I able to burn more AVI files using DVD Flick?

Thanks.

Are you making dvd-video discs or data dvd discs?
Data dsics should be the same size which ever app you use as they just write
what data you have to the disc.
DVD-Video depends on what sort of encoding settings you use to make the
mpegs that a dvd-video discs uses, you can have anything from a very low
bitrate of say 1,000k, which would give you hours of video on a disc, but be
poor quality, or you could have 9,000k which would give you maybe an hour of
video, but be very high quality.

DVD Video discs.
