Burning a video from M.P. to a DVD?

I made a video using Movie Maker and wanted to save it to a DVD, but it would
not let me. So i saved it using Media Player and I was able to save it on to
a DVD but now it will not play it on my DVD player. Is there a way I can
format this DVD so that I can use NERO or something else, that will play in
my DVD player?

I would appreciate your help....

If you have Nero...you may have...NeroVision
Express...it should recognize the .wmv or .avi
movie file created in Movie Maker.
