burning a slideshow with chosen background music

I am new to media center 04... I am trying to burna dvd with a slideshow of pictures and background music of my choosing. I have the sony vaio product.

Is there additional software I need to purchase to accomplish

I'm not sure which comes with the media centre, what do you have?

You need to save yuor slideshow as an avi file and this should be converted
to the neccessary format by click to dvd.
Nero is pretty good for it's price, but there are many dvd authoring apps,
depending on what you want.

but I have not seen how burn the combined data on a dvd or cd.
