If I understand what you are saying then you have this
software that came with the camera and that software does not
allow you to do A and B, right?
(We'll continue on the assumption that the answer is YES)
The camera software may not let you do this BUT it SHOULD
allow you to save the AVI file to your harddrive somewhere. A
folder in My Documents maybe, or some other directory / folder
on your hd.
IF it does then you can go, using Windows Explorer, to
that folder and find the AVI file and see if it is there. Use
the Search feature in XP to look for the name of the AVI the
camera software says it created.
IF SO; then A: You can bring up your mail program, create
a new message, and attach the AVI file to and send it that
way. - BUT BE WARNED - the SIZE of that AVI is important
because some e-mail servers / recipients do NOT allow you to
send HUGE file attachments through them. Some have a 1 meg
limit, some 1.5, some even as small as .5 megs for
attachements. If that AVI file is 5 megs big then you may send
it only to get a message back in a few minutes saying "I ain't
taking that huge message" or "we ain't send THAT to anyone".
ALSO if you find the file manually (using Windows
Explorer) then B: You can use the CD-RW burning utility in XP
or some 3rd party program (a lot of computers that come with
CD-rw or CDrw/DVD drives also come with Ahead Nero Burn or
Roxio Easy CD Creator) to put the file onto the CD.
So basically what is being said is this: NO the software
that came with the camera may not have a handy icon / button
to press to attach the avi file to an e-mail or burn it to CD
but if you can find the avi file and find where they are
"put"; then you can go to other programs and tell them "go
there, get that file, and put it on an e-mail or burn it to
CD".
Hope it helps you.
