I'm trying to burn a file to Windows Media Player. I changed the name of the
file previously, but in the burn list it still has the name of the old file.
How do I change this

Using Windows Explorer, rightclick the file>Properties>Summary tab
There you can edit the entries.

Are you sure? When I do that, the name that is there is not what appears on
the burn list.

Thanks,
Ken

Yes, I am sure. Put the cursor in the name block and you can edit it
there. This will also change the name when you set up the burn list.
Changing the Summary also changes the file's properties.

The fields in the summary tab (simple) are grayed out and I can't type into
them. The file name is under the General tab, and I can edit that, but
that's correct and must not be the same as the name used in the burn list.

FYI, I created the file in "audacity" after editing a WAV file.

After you click the summary tab you must click the Advanced button
to be able to edit the file/music info.

Byte,

It's grayed out and I can't enter anything into it. I went to some other
types of music files to see if the same thing was true, and it was. Could
there be some setting that I have that grayed this area out and prevents me
from entering any information?

Thanks,
Ken
