I have a problem with my computer, I had a TDK drive that just suddenly
stopped working. By that I mean that any disc that I put in the drive was
not recognized at all. The cd would flash next to the mouse but auto run did
not work and when I would check the drive via my computer it appeared as if
there was nothing there. So i replaced the Drive with a new Philips Drive
and it worked flawlessly 2 times. then just stopped working. I would put in
a new blank disc and it would seem as if it was trying to recognize it and
then agian the drive appears as if it is empty. So I checked all settings
and went to properties and unchecked enable recording and then hit apply the
re-checked it and hit apply. The drive suddenly worked fine so I backed up
everything I had. Thinking I had licked the problem I was making a playlist
to burn and when I tried to make the disc it told me to put a disc in the
drive, yet there was already one in there so I closed the program and opened
and shut the drive and suddenly auto detect worked. It just comes and goes
and I have no Idea what is causing this. Anyone that may have or had this
problem please help as I am about 2 sec away from a reformat and reinstall
windows

My pc is a p3 933mhz with 512 ram and running win xp home
