Burn div x movies onto DVD

Before I do anything silly..like spending money when no need...
I have few movies that I have recorded from TV. AVI files.
I would like to copy them onto DVD-R ( 3 or 4 movies in one DVD) I have a
div.x player at home.
So when I try to copy files onto dvd...cpt says not enough space in drive C
for temporary storage area
( I have a vaio 2 partitions drive C and D)
I open properties in drive F (CD/DVD drive etc..) go to recording and change
to drive D (almost empty)
But still when I start copying....it still goes to Drive C....
Help...I really want to remove those movies from computer..

I think what windows is actually telling you is that either
the temp folder is too clogged or corrupt.
When a DVD is being burned a "buffer" is used, this
is the temp folder. The temp folder has one location
in windows on drive C, regardless of where folder
with source files is or what drive, it is the temp folder
that is clogged - empty it.

First create a system restore point:

Ok..just done it..but not solving my problem..still ...very usefull..I

There is a number of steps you can take to free up space
and check that corruption isn't duplicating files.

From your post You seem to have confused how to set which is
the default folder/drive for captured TV files.
If Drive D is "almost empty" and you wish that to be the default
location for captured media files, Then it is your MCE capture software
that you configure with the preferred default location.
Open Media center/settings, change location for saved files.
By default MCE captures to:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Recorded TV\

You can use Windows Explorer. to drag and drop existing media
files from that default C drive location to D drive.

Too many reasons to explain, but software quirks and conflicts
can result in large files being duplicated, Do a system search:
First create a system restore point:
Goto Start/Search/files and folders
In the Window that appears click Arrow beside:
"All files and folders"
Do not type anything, leave search criteria blank
Ensure in drop down that search is conducted in
All hard drives.
Specify to search for large file sizes ("Over 1mb")

An example: If you have a captured TV recording entitled:
"Cop car chase 01" with a file size of 750.0mb , then if your
search produces duplicate files - which will always have
an additional pre title such as "copy of Cop car chase 01"
or "proxy_Cop car chase 01" etc Then these are space
consuming duplicates that can safely be deleted.
Do not delete anything you are not sure of.
Only delete what is an OBVIOUS media file copy.
